I was just rewatching this movie last night and was reminded of why I bought it in the first place. It's so clever and quick and random. Most of the humor catches me off-guard, even though I've seen it so many times. And frankly any time William Holden and Audrey Hepburn are paired together, I'm thoroughly charmed. I do believe that the last half hour or so drags, but I love this movie in spite of its flaws. How do you all feel?

Oh, Audrey...

There'll never be another. How do you even begin to formulate how amazing she was?

EEK, I've never seen it.

My favorite that she's in is Roman Holiday....I could watch that forever

It's impossible to articulate how I feel about Audrey.

My avatar, by the way, is from Paris When It Sizzles...

Elphaba, treat yourself to an Audrey marathon some time. So many wonderful movies, and she was always paired with the most wonderful leading men.

Audrey always seemed incredibly real, even though she was possibly the most elegant creature at the time or even ever. She was like a much more attractive, better-bred, better-dressed version of a regular person. Sigh... I'm going to go have daydreams about Audrey now.

And I'm going to get out all of my Audrey DVD's and watch them over the weekend. re: Paris- When It Sizzles

She was a role-model. A beautiful woman both inside and out.

I am so relieved it's a thread about the movie ! When i read the title, I thought it would be another thread about the trashy you-know-who LOL

Ew! I hadn't even thought of that, greek! She's the antithesis of the incomparable Audrey. Let her name not be spoken on this thread.

That is why I didn't mention the name. She and wonderful Audrey should never be linked even on a simple forum thread re: Paris- When It Sizzles

One of my favorite pieces of dialogue, ever:

Richard: You really like it, don't you.
Gabrielle: What?
Richard: Life.
Gabrielle: Oh! Every morning when I wake up and I see there's a whole new other day, I just go absolutely ape!

I love that... going ape over a whole new other day. re: Paris- When It Sizzles

I find her grace, poise and stature like Grace Kelly.....although I think Audrey was a much better actress. Both of them, to me anyway, exuded such style and grace.....

Oooh! I love that dialogue as well! I think the dialogue in that movie is exceptional overall.
