I'm probably way behind times, but my roommate and I just saw this movie tonight and were blown away - what a true gem of pure camp genius. Now, I realize that it was based on a true story, but the style in which the movie was done is truly tongue-in-cheek spectacular.
Okay, enough of my ranting and raving... If you guys have seen it, what are some of your thoughts?

Love,
Joshie

P.S. - Glad to have Macaulay Culkin back on screen. He may not be the greatest, but he's always had such charm.
...just my 2 cents

Love,
Joshie

Saw it, not impressed. I was on the scene at that time and the film didn't bring it all back for me. Culkin wasn't even good as Alig. Sorry to disagree!

I thought it was dreadful and Culkin so miscast, he's unwatchable...

There's camp and then there's fake camp where no one knows what they are doing so they try real hard...and the more they try, the more you cringe....

This was fake camp...

I left in the middle, had a cigarette, went to the bar next to the theatre for a martini, came back so my friends didn't think I ditched them, and Macaulay Culkin was STILL wearing drag, STILL doing lines and still talking in the same tone of voice.

I then went out for another smoke and martini.

thanks voiceanth, you're right. There wasn't a hint of 'real'camp in Party Monster. The two guys were indeed behaving in a very affected campy manner, but that doesn't mean the film was made as camp.
