We are all entitled to our religious beliefs. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhist . . .
But Pat Robertson . . . this I cannot understand. God is only according to his standards and beliefs, and if you believe in science and evolution over Intelligent Design, you are not only apparently asking for God's Wrath, but not entitled to his help and comfort.
"Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson told citizens of a Pennsylvania town that they had rejected God by voting their school board out of office for supporting "intelligent design" and warned them Thursday not to be surprised if disaster struck.
. . .
"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city," Robertson said on his daily television show broadcast from Virginia, "The 700 Club."
"And don't wonder why He hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His help because he might not be there," he said.
Robertson warns Pennsylvania voters of God's wrath
If he gets on medication, might I suggest Vioxx? I hear it does wonders for the heart.
I can't believe this nutcase believes he can predict the wrath of God. He rejected God himself somewhere around the time he decided he was the ultimate judge of good and evil.
This guy is a never ending source of stupidity.

"And if nothing happens, it's not because He's not mad at you. He's furious, for voting Him out of your schools. And something COULD happen, not that I know that it will happen, but you should probably worry that it will, because it might, I'm not saying it definitely will. And if it does, it's your fault. And if it doesn't, God just forgot to punish you, He's very busy."

Y - I am surprised that you would waste your keystrokes on old Pat.
They should send that crazy screaming christian bitch, in Jesus name I pray, to the town when the disaster hits.
JerseyGirl, you've hit on something. That "God Warrior" and "put on my spiritual armor" nonsense that blob was spouting comes verbatim from TBN televangelists. Those are the weak-minded type of people these Robertson types prey on. And the worst thing, their vote counts as much as yours or mine.

Namo--you should get a job writing for Pat.
Well, I have a soft spot for those who belong in a state-run institution.
I will just consider his continued freedom further evidence of the breakdown in the US Mental Health system.

Do you mean Pat or PalJoey?
Oh please, he wouldn't trust the American Psychological Assoication- they think it's perfectly normal for people to be gay!
JerseyGirl, they should just send her there anyway- punishment like that could be considered the wrath of God.
Trust me, I am a recovering Southern Baptist. I was taught about "putting on the full armor of God" for a LONG time. It's nutty.
This wacko just digs himself deeper and deeper.
Liberal Christians need to speak up!

Pat Robertson and (even though we're not talking about him) Fred Phelps need to run away to some place with a name quite reminiscent of Guided Pathways, or Echoed Canopies.
"God is very busy these days. He spends most of his free time talking to Pat Robertson."
Dorothy Zbornak of course.
Brdlwyr, when you asked, for some reason the following jumped into my head . . .
"She's my sister, she's my daugher, she's my sister, she's my daughter, she's my sister and my daughter . . ."
Why, I am not quite sure.
But, to answer your question - Pat, of course - PJ and I are already sharing the same padded room in some Eastern European country.
Leave it to a lesbian jew to defend us from Pat.
I can say that she's a jew, right?
