"Penelope Cruz had a panic attack onboard a Continental flight from Newark to Barcelona Thursday night. Cruz, who appeared to be traveling alone, was in first class and became agitated after the plane left the gate. After she spoke with the cockpit, the plane returned to the gate and Cruz deplaned. A fellow passenger told Huffington Post, "She was freaking out and refused to fly." In the process of Cruz deplaning, the flight removed all the bags, which then sat in the rain to the consternation of fellow passengers, so that the airline could locate her luggage."
Penelope Cruz Loses Control On Flight
Speaking of actresses w/o much talent...
Maybe not in English but in Spanish she was brilliant.
I disagree, she is an ok actress, *I* think she got an Oscar nomination just because she is famous, I have watched her films since she started her career, Im a huge Almodovar fan, some other of his "actresses" would give Cruz a run for her money, yet, she is the most famous Spaniard actress in this country.
Anyways, back to the topick...
TMZ:
Penelope: No Panic Attack
Earlier this week the Huffington Post reported that Penelope Cruz was on a delayed flight between Newark and Barcelona and suffered a panic attack. According to sources, the flight delay caused Cruz to have a major hissy fit, with the starletta insisting that she and her luggage be allowed off the plane immediately -- at the expense of all the other passengers. A rep for Cruz told Page Six, though, "There was no panic attack. She was told the plane would be delayed for four hours, so she decided to deplane."
"Another passenger on the flight told the Huffington Post, "She was freaking out and refused to fly."
Cruz's publicist, Carrie Gordon said, "There was no panic attack. The airline let her know there was going to be a 3 or 4 hour delay due to the storm. She had work so she figured she'd deplane and fly when the storm passed."
If it wasn't a panic attack...it sure smells like a temper tantrum to us!"
Penelope Cruz...Panic Attack Or Temper Tantrum?
How come if any one else has a temper tantrum on a plane, they get arrested?
That's a lame title for an article. One cannot "lose control" during a panic attack this is coming from someone who suffered from them for a long time. It feels like you will, but it's impossible to "lose control."

The article says that she spoke to someone in the cockpit. WTF?
Um..are't those doors supposed to be locked and secured for security purposes? Couldn't she speak to a crew member? Why was she allowed into the cockpit?
If I had been on this flight already delayed 4 hours due to a storm and then delayed another hour or so for her RIDICULOUS behavior, I would have been FURIOUS.
Why do these celebs get away with this stuff???
