Penny Dreadful on Showtime from John Logan and Sam Mendes

There's not a single penny in that trailer.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I've liked some of Logan's screen work well enough, but I recently saw Red. I *think* it was a good production, but I really, really didn't understand why the play got the critical attention it seems to have got.

I think Sam Mendes is a hack in the worst sense of that word.
"If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about the answers." Thomas Pynchon, GRAVITY'S RAINBOW "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." Philip K. Dick My blog: http://www.roscoewrites.blogspot.com/

Yeah prob smart to have him play an American... Logan is already doing video interviews about how much it's somehow based on his gay sensibility and relation to monsters when he was growing up gay... Still, I still am gonna watch, so there :P

(What's the worst sense of the word hack?)

Can't hate on a writer who wrote Rango, although given who directed it, maybe the collaboration with Verbinski had Logan actually have his clear knowledge of film, references, and film history mean something.

People are still trying to make Josh Hartnett happen?
