Bianca Ryan, the girl form America's Got Talent

IMHO, I really think she just tried to imitate whoever sang the song, and then proceeded to try to make herself sound like a big black woman version of that singer (excepting Ms. Holliday). And something irks me about kids saying "AY" instead of "E" (

No offense to her, of course. I think she's got a pretty fine voice. You're not supposed to copy other people, though.

Well, in defense of Bianca Ryan, she never had ANY training of any kind. She taught herself to sing by listening to recordings. That's why she sounds like that and has little control. With training, she could be great.

As for the video in question, could someone tell me how you could cast Effie as the thinnest dream? HOW would that work?

If you search the sight that shouldn't be named, there is one good white skinny Effie. Her "Party, Party" was HOT! I belive the girls name is Julie Adams.

JerseyGirl - I didn't know she'd never had training! That's good. I've actually been teaching myself to belt using recordings. I just thought it was some other little rich girl who had overbearing stage parents.

The girl in that movie 'Camp' can sing it well.
She's caucasian.

I read that Bianca approached her dad about entering a talent contest and he said, "Well, honey, do you have talent?" lol I think she could be good with training if they can make her stop trying to sound like someone else. She needs to find her own voice and develop stage presence.

There's a guy on The Site That Must Not Be Named, who sings the song in the original key (and NOT in falsetto). It's actually pretty incredible.
