Is there a train or anything that goes from Philadelphia to NYC that anyone knows of?
Amtrak.
Thanks.
spider, check out NJ transit. Their train from Penn Station to Philly is a lot cheaper than Amtrak and doesn't take much longer.
Will check that out thanks.
The best, most reliable deal is the Greyhound bus to NYC. It's only $12 one way, $24 round trip with eFares. Definitely check it out.

If you want to go cheaper than Amtrak, you can take Septa from 30th St to Trenton. Transfer to NJ Transit straight up to Penn. You end up spending about $30 each for roundtrip tix rather than about $100 each.
I always take the Chinatown bus called P to P, its $25 for round trip. It's never crowded so you won't ever have to wait in a line or share a seat with a stranger.
Awesome!
I did as cabarethed suggested...took the NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Trenton, then the SEPTA from there to Philly's 30th Station where I was meeting friends for a drive out to New Hope back in September.
Boring ride, but it problem-free. Except the odd guy who took the seat next to me - even though the SEPTA train was almost empty - and tried to converse with me.
It was also off-peak hours so it was about $12 each way.

spidey, was this your question from before? I PMed you since you asked for people to PM that live near or around Philly.
I always take NJ transit. I take it from Trenton or sometimes Hamilton. It's about an hour and 20 minutes into the city and cost 19.00$- round trip.
Or something like 11.00$ one way.

Message gustof777, he goes to school in Philly and takes a train to NYC pretty frequently on weekends.
