Well I can understand the endangerment issues, but when I read this sentence my heart just melted...
"She said that the birds had been mating for years and one couple even adopted a stone that they protected like an egg."
It was a completely "awwwe" moment. A stone! Who'da thought?

In the Central Park Zoo, there are two gay couples...one of the couples are both female.
I love this. it totally shows those skeptics wrong about homosexuality in animals.
Maybe now they can take up the issue with their God on a different level.
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I recall the NYTimes article on gay penguins. I'm surprised Bush hasn't come out condemning the penguins. The penguins are definitely going to hell. But at least they'll be wearing tuxedos and be dressed properly!

I remember on The Real World: New Orleans, Julie said "I don't understand homosexuality, because you don't see it in other aspects of life, like you don't see gay animals. You don't see gay bunnies"
Well not quite a bunny, but Penguins are still animals. Someone should forward the article to her.....
Also, I wonder if they play roles, meaning does the "mother" penguin sit on the stone/egg, while the "father" penguin goes and looks for food?
