while performing with Paul McCartney in Hyde Park. They were apparently over the curfew time by 30 minutes:

I'm glad they didn't do that when I saw him last month. He played until like 1230 in Milan.

I have heard of venues having curfews. But, I've also heard of artists being aware and being okay with paying whatever the fee is for going over. I have never heard of venue actually shutting down a concert as a result of going overtime.

In some places the noise ordinance could cause the venue to be shut down and it's not a question of fines. I don't know if this is a fact in this case, but my brother has promoted shows that HAVE to end at midnight on the dot, even at larger outdoor arenas.
