I thought this thread was going to be about the Polish side of my family. Then again, my Polish relatives aren't a "riot". They're "revolting"

Now I'm hardly Catholic, but the Black Madonna means so much to the Poles, and not just religiously. It's a source of major national pride, and while there is freedom of the press, perhaps people need to be little more careful in what they are printing.

A little discretion from the Danes, and perhaps this all would never have happened.

Elphie, you're going to Czestochowa? It's lovely, but be very respectful, as it is a place to which many people make pilgrimages. One of my friends makes a bikeride to Czestochowa from Warsaw every year...

Sorry, but I don't buy that. Those cartoons were published in September. This whole event was staged by the Muslims.

When I was visiting Poland I went to Czestechowa in the morning (I actaully saw the painting before it was closed for the afternoon) and then to Auschwitz, which isn't very far from it. It was certainly a day of contrasts.

Just got this Email from a friend in LA:

"I read about the "threat" against the LA Library Tower.

What a load of horses**t!!!! I HATE these lies this bastard is using to try to rebuild his destroyed credibility. LA was never a target. Please. All the money is in New York, but all the Arabs have property in LA. Such crap!"
