Possible Tornados/Severe Thunderstorms in NYC tonite.

My sister lives in the part of south Jersey that was hit hard by these types of storms a couple of weeks ago. If they're like that good luck y'all!

Holy cow - the view ). Wish I was a photographer. It's black on top, rolling in from Jersey, light grey on top of bldgs. Lightening strikes over that skyscraper in Jersey City. Dangerous weather, but just beautiful.

I had to do outreach work around LaGuardia. So many cancellations and a lot of people needing taxis/buses to get back home. Just made it back to the bus before it rained down but the clouds were pretty ominous. Poured when I rushed to the Q train and by the time made the transfer to uptown, it was mostly a sprinkle but lots of lighting directly above. My mother's Metro North train, she is in the city at least once a week, got delayed to the point we were planning via text about her possibly staying at my place overnight.
