To think that some are fake would ruin the entire purpose. If people have been sending in fake postsecrets, then shame on them.

Well I can't imagine that they are all real. I mean human nature being what it is, it's safe to say that some have grains of truth with some creative fiction mixed in. And like you initially said how do we know you're/they're real? We don't. To me, they don't need to be products of real life experiences to be powerful and moving.
