Some of those are really beautiful...the actual postcards, that is.

Posted: 7/14/05 at 12:39pmI think the motivation for people sending these is a sense of closure. If you keep something bottled up for so long, it can be freeing to just write it out--even if you can't tell the people who should know the most, at least someone out there can know.
