I was going to say, I want your power company!
I hope your mom gets her power back soon.

Posted: 6/11/08 at 12:36amIm right outside the city in CT, but there were some REALLY bad thunderstorms earlier. The thunder shook the whole house. They didn't last long, but from what I understand, a lot of people in the tri-state area are out of power.

Posted: 6/11/08 at 12:42amThanks, CJ, I got out of the theater at exactly 9:25, and there was an unbelievable lightening strike and thunderstorm, but, thankfully only for 10 minutes.

My mom is at her house in Bergen County right now. I just got off the phone with her and she didn't mention anything about a blackout.
Hope it won't last long. At least the weather now is down to the low 70s now..compared to the low 80s it was last night.

Posted: 6/11/08 at 7:40amI live in Essex county, and there are power outages in Essex, Passaic, and Bergen. Estimates are 600,000 people are without power. Could take a while to get everyone restored. I am lucky to have power, but parts of my town are out.
