I've recently have become interested in buying prescription sunglasses & was just wondering if anybody knew of any places online or in real life that they had a good experience with and/or sell them for cheap. If not, I'll probably go to my local Costco which has a good price but many styles at all. I'm fairly close to NYC if anybody has any recommendations there, I would love to hear them! Thanks!
PS I haven't been on these boards in awhile & couldn't find a search button! Sorry if there is already a post on here about prescriptions sunglasses, & please reply with a link!
Yes, there are at least a dozen other threads already about prescription sunglasses. But it's so good that after all this time away, advice on prescription sunglasses brought you back to BWW.
I have a couple pairs from Warby Parker which I like.My brother has bought regular glasses and sun glasses from Zenni Optical. When you get your prescription be sure to have your eye Doctor give the actual measurements from pupil to pupil. Most Optometrist don't do this because they don't want you to buy your glasses cheap online. They want to sell you a pair for $300-$400.I was told THEY HAVE to write this on the prescription if you request it.Good Luck!

I use Zenni Optical all the time. Not the ultra best, but very good for what they are. Never had a problem. I particularly like their indestructible titanium options.
I use Zenni Optical, as well. My best pair comes from a different online company: Coast Contacts. They have huge sales--like first pair free with shipping or 20-50% off frames--all the time. Much better quality than Zenni Optical, but more expensive.
I got some at Cohen's Fashion Optical last year. They will negotiate the price with you. They are more interested in making the sale especially if you tell them that you have been shopping around.
I got a nice pair of Ray Ban aviator frames with UVA/UVB polarized prescription lenses for $200 tax included. The frames alone were $150 plus tax. It would have a cost me at least $300 at LensCrafters. My lenses were just as expensive as the frames.

+1 for Zenni Optical. I'm an eyeglasses collector and have got dozens of glasses from Zenni. If you need sunglasses, I'd like to recommend Zenni's tinted sunglasses. You can choose from a variety of tint colors as well as the density of the tint.
