Is anyone else fascinated by this show? I was watching it last night, and was intruiged (and somewhat disheartened) by the selection process of the screenplay.
Affleck and Damon were vying for Dimension Films to select a film entitled "Does Anybody Here Remember When Hanz Gubenstein Invented Time Travel?". According to nearly everyone on the panel (including Wes Craven), it was the best script in the competition. However, the Big Guys from Miramax eventually chose "Feast", a gory B-movie about demons, explosions, and roadside bars. And they did so soley for the purpose of making money.
There's the movie business, for ya
It started last night? Damn. I missed it.
I've been a big fan of the show in the past.

My mom had a small but pivotal role in the first Greenlight film, STOLEN SUMMER. She was the rabbi's scretary who died in the fire. She said that Damn, Affleck and Pete Jones, the director, were all very nice, but the main producer was a jerk.
I'm not absolutely sure if it's the same guy, but the main producer on PG3 is a real... You know.

My friend and his script were in the top ten of last year's PROJECT GREENLIGHT. His name is Tyler Fereira. He (and his friend) wrote THE REBOUND GUY. Anyone remember it?
I only started watching this season. I'm sure it was awesome, though.

Chris Moore. That's the name of the producer that was such an ass.
On the commentary track for STOLEN SUMMER, he implied that my mom had trouble with her lines. In fact, it was Kevin Pollack who kept rewriting dialogue on practically every take.
Yeah, that's it.
On the premiere episode of PG3, he was saying, "People are afraid to work on any movie set that has me on it". That's probably true, but it's not because people are scared of him. He's just mad annoying.
