Thanks.
I hate Houston.
Too bad, I hate white dogs (j/k).
I've been to Houston a few times and it's just so... dirty. Maybe I've been to the wrong parts. I dunno.
I'm originally from north Texas.
thanks to no zoning for decades (typical Texan "don't tell me what to do" attitude) Houston really has high points and low ones visually. Austin I really like a lot, but I tend to prefer "college towns". The schools in Houston are not integrated into downtown, it's too spread out. I don't know north TX much. The pollution here is awful, but the sunsets are spectacular (all that smog, like LA). This town is definitely "car-centric."
I'm originally from a town called Denison, but I graduated from a much smaller town called Bonham. They're both part on the Red River.
I'm going to Orange for the first time in March, but I think it's East TX, not north. I've heard of your towns, near Odessa maybe?
Hardly.
Jillian might be the dark horse candidate-I wouldn't mind if any of the three win-Chris, Christian, or Jillian.
well, I'd lose bad if geography were the category on Jeopardy. Orange is to see a friend in the SCOUNDRELS tour....I don't even know where Red River is in the state. Sorry.
The Red River forms most of the border between Oklahoma and Texas, and flows through Shreveport, Louisiana. After flowing through Louisiana, it spills into Atchafalaya Bay.
I want Christian to win.
Do we get a new episode of Project Runway this week?
I think it is the reunion show this week Jane.
It should be the reunion episode.
love those reunion shows (and reveal this week of Fan Fave). I may be crossing Red River a lot soon, applied for a job in OK City. Have a really good few friends there and drove out last year to see a show at OCU.....
Much as I love the reunion shows (the drama!), I'll always be sad that Kayne was off shooting the season 3 reunion when I made the road trip to visit his boutique in Norman.
Think we'll have any footage as juicy as Vincent blowing up at the production staff for dry cleaning his clothes?
Um, mouse, haven't you gotten the hint that this thread isn't about you yet? I tried to steer it back to the topic.
"Think we'll have any footage as juicy as Vincent blowing up at the production staff for dry cleaning his clothes?"
What? I missed that. I hated Vincent, so maybe I just tuned him out. I dunno.
"Think we'll have any footage as juicy as Vincent blowing up at the production staff for dry cleaning his clothes?"
I doubt it. this season has been kind of tame.
sure, I'll keep further comments to Nistua to PM. BACK ON TOPIC (well, except for which season): Chloe's boutique in Houston is really great, and the clothes are still affordable. I really admire her and her whole family. She does a lot for charity here too....
I wonder if they have all heard the smack Christian has said behind their backs.
He is like an evil, uber-talented elf.
Love his work, but his lack of maturity so undercuts my ability to root for him.
I really like Jillian.
This season has been so tame! The challenges have been the best, I think. I really liked the last one, except Rami had to be predictable. Do you think they did that on purpose? Or do you think they have all the challenges picked out before the cast is chosen?
Either way, Rami gave a lame excuse.
I'm rather ambivalent about Christian. He's talented to be sure, but I feel as if I've seen all of his pieces before. He may have interened with Vivianne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, but there is no reason he should be copying them instead of embracing his own vision. He hasn't designed anything that isn't reminiscent of something I've already seen in Vogue.
Although I do love him for saying "fierce." And for coming up with "Ferosha Coutura."
My pick for the win is Jillian, with Chris getting the "Kayne Vote" for most fully winning my heart this season. He's utterly delightful.
I used to like Rami, but he grew very stale on me.
I think the way he interacted with Sweet P on the challenged they teamed on together turned me off of him completely.
He makes an amazing, draped, dress, but his arrogance is obnoxious. He should have gone home last week. Chris' work was much more interesting.
YWIW=I almost forgot about that horrid attitude Rami took with Sweet P! Also, I noticed that when he receives criticism from the judges, he never shows a bit of acceptance of it. Instead, he's arrogant.
I don't even care for draped garments, so you have to count me out as a Rami fan!
