Just from watching a few videos, I'm impressed by the passion and energy they have. Oh, and of course, their talent!

Amanda's been working on a solo album, doing collaboration with Ben Folds for that one.
She also did a whole heckuva lot of stuff at the recent Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I forgot to mention this on my initial post, but - Amanda's solo work is pretty freaking brilliant. She also does some amazing covers - I especially like her take on "Mother", as well as "And I Will Follow You Into The Dark" and "I Don't Care Much".
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
I Don't Care Much is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Especially when sung by the right person (Matt McGrath in Cabaret).
I'd love to hear Amanda's version!

According to legend, the Z fell of Amanda's Kurzweil electric piano so she replaced it with a T instead.
Also, they generally do Jaques Brel's Amsterdam live.
Amanda's I Don't Care Much was very , very good, but Matt's got the edge over her for soulful singing! I wish there were some way to hear him do it, but there's nothing around.
must... get... tickets...
edit: i just looked at the scheduel with my mom... she said the boston show seems more reasonable. so hopefully i'm going to that one :)

Even though January is the coldest month in Montreal, I'm considering their show at the National Theatre. Last time I was in the National, it was a gay porn place.
i followed the link and it sent me to a ticketmaster site that says the tickets aren't on sale yet... what time do you think they go on sale tomarrow?

I found that pre-sale thing totally by happenstance, there was no beginning or end listed but I guess it ended. Tix for Boston go onsale thru Ticketmaster tomorrow (Sat the 10th) at noon. They already went onsale thru Ticketmaster for the Ballroom in NYC today.
oooh ok.
i'll set the timer on my phone for noon so i can get them then :)
thanks
