So what do people think about his upcoming movie?
I really wanna see it, but probably won't for a while after it opens do to being insanely busy.
It looks good, scarey, and not the normal Lowest Common Denominator buckets of gore scarey movie, but instead, a well thought out, interesting plot scarey movie.
Plus it's got Kristen Bell (fierce, and a broadway connection) and Ian Somerhalder (just plain fierce)
Have you seen the original?
It's good.
Ivan and I will see this.
If I remember correctly, the original didn't have any gore at all. It was just these ghosts.

Movies like this don't really scare me, but the problem is the images stick clearly in my head. Even seeing the commercials at night make me want to stay away from the dryer. Psychologically it seems rather creepy
i would support this movie even if it didn't have a Broadway connection, but i'll tell ya what it never hurts :)
thats one of the only reasons i wanted to see Family Stone.
Now that movie sucked.
And SJParker doesn't really have a connection. She's been in four shows, and her husband just happens to be an overrated mediocre actor.
Big deal.

lol what you have now is very different from the "one" you had
In my opinion of Parker, she can play the hell out of any part, as long as it's a New Yorker/Business woman.
I'd love to see her in a Little House on the Prairie type role. She'd fail completely.

Hah, that would most definitely be an entertaining evening. Why don't you throw Broderick into the fun just for the hell of it?
I like Parker more than Broderick.
If he wasn't in Ferris Bueller, he'd be a nobody.
And it bugs me that he won't age.
He still looks like he did in Ferris.

Sorry, bump because I really want to see this movie.
ZONEACE, it's a remake of a japanese horror flick.

This looks incredibly stupid to me, but then, I hate most horror movies. I do adore Kristen Bell, but even the inducement of an early screening pass couldn't get me to see this.
Plum, do you hate most because it's tough to get your scared? Or it's just not your cup of tea?
JustChillin, a good horror flick at that :)

FictionWriter -I agree, SJP would fail on the prairie just like Tyne Daly did when she played a prairie woman on that series "Christy" with Kellie Martin. Tyne Daly just screams "New York!"
But to get back to the subject - Kristen Bell is smokin' hot - but I don't go to horror flicks.
I think this looks absolutely embarrasing. Hell no.
The Pajiba reviews (which normally spare no negativity) was pretty good:
It's basically a good old-fashioned ghost story, with spooky atmosphere and sudden jump-scares and a hot blonde heroine who survives everything while her friends are picked off one by one. It helps that the hot blonde is Kristen Bell ('Veronica Mars') who can basically do anything (she even sings — see 'Reefer Madness') and remain effortlessly adorable and charming.
Pulse Review
Didn't like it. Apart from being significantly weaker than the the original, it lacks what made the other Japanese horror remakes - in my opinion - worth seeing: mood, scares, and effortless storytelling.
Watching this movie, I got the idea that there were a lot of problems with the production, right up until the last minute. Nothing really makes sense in the story, specifically the true identity of the villain(s). The worst part is the ending, which solves and explains very little. I don't ask for all of the details, but I would like to know exactly what the characters are facing.
Kristin Bell is excellent, and makes the whole thing bearable. It's to her credit as an actress that she can sell this plot. Ian Somerhalder, who was excellent in The Rules of Attraction, is bland. Christina Milian is a better actress than you would expect, but she disappears for huge stretches of time, with no one ever addressing where her character is.
On the plus side, the movie looks great and the are some creepy - if predictable - moments. Other than that, watch the trailer. It's better than the movie, and it's free.

I didn't really like this movie. It was all "jumps" and so unrealistic. They didn't explain enough about the "will to live" which I think if they described that more and shown why "them" want it would have made the story much clearer.

EDIT: Sorry accidently pressed "Clear Form" before the post button.
From reading a review at IGN.com (A review site I usually trust) it seems the story makes absolutly no sense but the fact that it's generally scary saves it (It got a 3/5 by the way).
I'll be seeing it sometime this week to form my own opinion.

Bump because I got to see Pulse yesterday and I really enjoyed it. It has a wierd film style (not really sure what) that made everything look darker, It was annoying at first but I got used to it. There are definitly some confusing parts of the plot that are never answered.
::Spoiler::
What was/were the thing(s) and why did it/they want life (and what exactly were they sucking out of the people in the first place)? Why did the guy in the beggining die without watching the "Do you want to meet a ghost?" video? What exactly was up with the web cam feed?
and my own personal question... why did they leave the blue protection pads on the speakers of their RAZR cell phones?
::Possible Spoiler::
I didn't realize it was going to be an appocalypse type movie. I thought it was interesting how people gradually began dissapearing from class.
::End Spoiler::
All in all I enjoyed myself at this movie, even though it was confusing at times it was still generally scary. It actually had me watching my back the entire day and most movies don't manage to do that to me.
EDIT: I also noticed that Kristen Bell had what looked like a Chicago movie poster in her room, don't know if that was done on purpose or not.

SPOILER
I think the guy in the beginning already saw the video. Remember he hacked into the network thing and made all those videos to Ziegler before he was attacked. He was supposed to meet Ziegler that day to discuss the problem when he was attacked.
