I think this is one of those things that could actually make you throw up if you saw it happen...
I just don't understand how that would work physically. It's a freaking 6 foot alligator...

Posted: 10/7/05 at 10:25amthis is an awful event that shows how bush's evirnmental policies have failed the people and the animals of the united states of america and the world. clearly the blame can be laid at the door of the white house and is yet another example of the bush administration's failure to consider the effects of its consumption policies on the animal population. when poor pythons are reduced to trying to eat alligators, it's a clear indicator of an environmental policy run amok. where is the outrage? where is the anger?

I am outraged!
I am angry!
This is a travesty of the modern world and I, for one, refuse to lie back and let Bush get away with the murder of even one more alligator!

Posted: 10/7/05 at 10:42amIt was on the front page of AOL in one of the underlying links yesterday, I think. The article said that they didn't know if the gator was alive when the snake started to eat it(in which case, it would have clawed through the stomach)or if it was already dead. In that case the gasses released would have caused the snake to burst. Both disgusting scenarios, but I thought I would share...lol.

Posted: 10/8/05 at 8:55pmIt is my understanding that a Python usually waits until its prey is dead before consumiong it, if only to avoid being slashed open from within. I'm not 100% sure of this, but it seems logical, even for a snake. I think the gator was just too big and split his eater open.
