QUARTER LIFE CRISIS!

35 was the traumatic one for me - that was the point where I felt like my Wasted Youth was Gone Forever, and it bugged the heck out of me. 40 was actually fun, in a "woohoo, I made it!" sort of way. Nothing's bothered me since; in fact, I tend to forget how old I am and occasionally have to do the math, haha.

AHH, I turned 20 last month and I had a total freak-out too!

I just felt like I was too immature to actually be two decades old, and I couldn't deal with not having the "teenager" excuse to fall back on anymore. Then I got really cynical and realized that I'm not "growing up" anymore, I'm AGING. Ew.

And at the same time, I felt like I hadn't accomplished ANYTHING in two decades and that I was wasting my life.

It might have had something to do with my birthday falling in the middle of midterms- basically I was spaz.

that's EXACTLY it- no more teenager excuse!

And while I had a rocking party on Saturday night, I spent yesterday (my actual 20th) cleaning up and working/studying....because I'm rihgt in the middle of exams- my last one is this morning!
I feel that if I have an exam on my birthday next year I'll come up wtih some spectacular excuse to get it deferred. I've really had the worst luck when it comes to exams and my birthday.
And I think I'm still hungover from Saturday. Right on!

For me, I really enjoyed being a kid. I miss playing with Barbies and having four-square games and I wish it were socially acceptable to carry a stuffed animal around. Honestly, I've felt like doing that a lot lately. I just feel like screaming, "I'M NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!"
I'm gonna go have some cookies 'n milk.

I think mine hit about 24/25. I got divorced then and the whole "What am I doing with my life" thing sunk in big time.
But it gets better...
Happy Birthday Judy :)
