re: Queer As Folk

1) After last weeks attack, Mel & Lindsey are very much back together. Mel, to Lindsey - "I want your face to be the first thing I see each morning, for the rest of my life". They call their friend Dusty (who went to the benefit with them) to ask if she can watch the kids while they go visit Michael in the hospital. They are told that Dusty perished in the explosion, while Mel & Lindsey went back to the car to get the cell phone. Devistated that Dusty's death left her partner with no legal rights to the children, and fed up with all the homophobia, they decide to flee the country.

2) Ted is dealing with some major guilt -- he feels that if he hadn't sent Michael up to the bar to get his friend a drink, then Michael would not have been injured. He throws himself into insurance claims, and hires contractors & gets estimates to get Babylon back up on it's dancing feet. He avoids visiting Michael. While having troll-sex in the bathhouse, Ted has an epiphany, and decides to buy Michael balloons.

3) Shocking news about Hunter. It appears that he hitch-hiked to Florida when he ran away, and now works at Disneyworld in a Dopey costume. Even more shocking is that he watches CNN, and heard of the bombing. He returns to Pittsburgh to visit Michael, and asks if he can stay for good.

4) In complete shock, Emmett stays holed up on the couch with vanilla pudding and classic films. Mr hottie football player and Deb's detective man-whore set him straight (so to speak) and get Emmett out of the house to attend the candle-light vigil for the victims of the attack.

5) At the vigil, Mr hottie football player talks about heroes. Deb takes the stand, and tells the group of her son's injuries. Angry protesters begin to shout 'your son should have died.....fags go to hell'. Ben attacks angry protester, and beats him to a bloody pulp, escaping with Brian before the cops arrive at the scene. Brian is proud of Zen Ben. Emmett relieves some stress by throwing in a few punches of his own.

6) Michael pulls thru surgery a-okay, and should be able to return home in a few days.

7) Brian visits Justin in his filthy apartment, and asks Justin to marry him. Justin says no -- he doesn't believe that Brian has changed. Brian decides not to rebuild Babylon, and hires Justin's mom to sell his loft. Brian takes Justin on a drive - he has something to show Justin. They arrive at a palacial estate a half-hour outside of Pittsburgh.....complete with tennis court, stables, and a swimming pool. Brian has bought a palace for his prince, and turns on the charm. Justin says "yes - I will marry you" and they make love in front of the fireplace.

previews for next week --- Invitations for the wedding begin to arrive, and everyone is in shock over the news of Brian & Justins nuptuals. Brian asks Michael (whose burns & bruises appear to have miraculously healed overnight) to be his best man. Mel & Lindsay decide to move their children to gay-friendly Canada --- Michael gives his blessing, Brian does not. Emmett catches Mr hottie football player lip-locked with another man.

re: Queer As Folk

As bad as the story has been, the soft core porn has been stimulating. Call me crazy, but I have a thing for Teddy. Watching him last night lie naked on a table in a bathhouse, and then watching him take it from behind was the highlight of the evening.
The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.

re: Queer As Folk

As long as I've been waiting for Brian to tell Justin he loves him... I don't want them to get MARRIED.. If they end the series with their wedding, I'll puke.

re: Queer As Folk

Justin believes Brian is sincere because he bought a house and proposed because we all know that Brian is so sincere. Justin should make Brian woo him for a couple of years before agreeing to anything. Let Brian suffer for a while.

Michael never says anything of interest or intelligence any more. All his dialogue could be replaced with animal sounds and it would be more interesting.

Ben: I'm so glad you're alive, Michael.

Michael: Cock-a-doodle-doo!

The lesbians look like they are considering moving to Canada, because apparently, any American who wishes to move to Canada can simply do so whenever they want (I'm curious to see how the writers justify this).

Ted has become so nauseatingly pathetic, I dread every time he's in a scene. He's just gross. I can't stand to look at him any more because he reminds me of so many self-loathing queens I already know.

Emmett was cliche and pathetic for about 20 minutes, but got over it because maybe the writers discovered Ted's pathetic story was enough to cover the entire cast for several seasons.

Hunter's back and Michael and Ted are totally OK with it and don't question it because of the bomb thing or whatever. Sure.

Debbie tossed off a few sound bytes.

Justin's mom is the only character I like and she's the only actress I find who has risen above the material. Love her.

I think the last 2 episodes have been first rate. Only 2 more left!

re: Queer As Folk

I like this show for what it is. I appreciate that they're tackling 'issues'. But I am so let down by the whole Brian thing. It just bothers me that this is going to end with all these people happily married, living in their suburban houses. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but not to everyone. And as much as I haven't liked Brian's character, he brought some balance to the show. My guess is that we all have the self absorbed friend (or acquaintance) that only cares for sex, and could care less for a relationship. I hate that he changed so dramatically.

I really thought they were going to kill him off... but that would've been too... predictable.

re: Queer As Folk

Wouldn't having LawyerMel write up wills for her and Lindsay be much easier than moving to Canada? I think the writers are just looking for another "Oh, look, it's TORONTO! And it looks SO MUCH like Pittsburgh!" moment.

And Hunter was working in Disney World? That's probably why they have to spray down the costumes for pubic lice now. I'd love to know how the writers justified that move. Then again, I'd love to know how they justify everything they concoct on this show.

I have no comment on Brian. He is dead to me.

God, I hope the series ends with Justin waking up from the coma he was in at the beginning of Season 2 and realizes that the past 3 seasons have all been a twisted nightmare. That's the only logical ending to this smultz-fest.

re: Queer As Folk - did I miss something?

I have watched the last few episodes, but after watching last night it looks like I missed something. All of a sudden, Ted as a new boyfriend that he's madly in love with, and vice versa. When did this happen?
