Question about Purchasing New iPod Earphones

Quick question. When I bought my iPod (almost a year ago), it came with a pair of white earphones..the kind that go inside your ear. I can see that the wire is about to break and would like to purchase new earphones soon. I checked on apple.com and they seem to only sell earphones that are different (and more expensive) than the regular earphones that come with the iPod. Any idea where I can get a replacement for my earphones? Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. Thanks!

Oh and I already went to the apple store in Soho to buy them...they told me to go to the website!

Even like a radio shack or FYE. I think sometimes even Walgreens has them

Ipod is compatible with all headphones, pick a set up anywhere unless you're looking for that particular white ipodey look.

I thinkt the Apple store gives you a free replacement, if they don't I am almoust positive they will sell you one.

i went to the Apple store last weekend and they told me to go to the website for a replacement.

i don't understand why they don't just sell them in the store!!

I had the same dillema and actually ended up buying the in-ear headphones because I couldn't find them. DO NOT buy the in-ear headphones because they suck and fall out of your ears. I ended up buying a pair of sony in-ear headphones but they broke too. So now I am using the free headphones that came with my PSP, which hurt my ears but they don't seem to be breaking anytime soon.

I went through this a few months ago. Apple only sells the original earphones with the radio attachment or on the Nano lanyard (which only fits the Nano). That's it. Otherwise, you have to buy the in-ear earphones, which never stayed in my ears. Two reasons why I hate iPod. I'm just glad I got it as a gift and didn't waste my own money on the crappy device. It's a ripoff.

I think I have a couple of pairs of the regular white ones you can have! They hurt my ears because they are too big for me!

I hated my iPod earbuds. They hurt my ears, plus they kept falling out when I wasn't even doing anything but sitting at the computer.

I ended up buying earbuds from the brand, Koss. The ends are squishy and conform to the shape inside your ears. They're almost like ear plugs, which is the only downfall as it blocks out most noise - they're not work friendly! But they don't fall out as my previous 2 pair had.

I know exactly what your talking about!
Luckily mine are still in good condition, but I don't know for how much longer!
And I perfer those kind of earphones too, they go right inside your ear and don't mess up your hair!

You can easily buy those kind of earphones at any store like Wal-Mart, but they will probably be black instead of white.

The Koss brand that I bought are white and look like the crummy iPod ones.

They used to sell them in the stores for $30 a pair.

Ridiculous, especially since you can get much better in-ear buds for the $20-30 range that don't scream "I have an ipod, please take it!" And other earbuds are far more comfortable.

The funny thing was, the original earbuds were the only thing I really liked about the iPod. The sound quality was great and they didn't hurt my ears at all. I loved them....until they fell apart in less than 6 months.

Like I said, forget iPod. Overpriced crap.
