Rath, I also taught for 25 years in the inner city. Those who never tried it shouldn't comment on how it is. I'm sensitive about it too and I know this is a very controversial topic, but I don't want to start anything on it. Let's get back to Joy-she's the only one who makes any sense on that show, I think. Meredith's not too bad either-she tries not to make waves, though.

ETA-of course people can comment on anything they like, but you really don't know unless you've been there.

My godson's mother is a school librarian in a couple of fairly tough elementary schools - believe me, I know the stories.
