I thought of another game we could play, since these game posts are so popular right now.

You state a quote from a musical (song or book) and give the origin of the quote from the previous post.

So if I post "Everything's coming up roses,"
then the next person posts "Gypsy" and gives a new quote from another musical.

So, starting off easy...

"You may one day
Look around and say
Somebody wonderful married me"

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

And it's not Willy Wonka, though that certainly is My Fair Lady.

I have driven myself crazy trying to recall the source of Mr. Matt's lyric. Perhaps a clue?

Mister Matt's lyric is from "Everybody's Gotta Be Somewhere" from City of Angels.

Here's one of my favorites...

"Switched from blouses into sweaters/using my attention getters..."

Is it from a show, Magruder?

Cause all I can think of is either BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY's or MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (though they'd say 'jumpers' not 'sweaters', right?)

Robbie -

You got it. "My Nice Ways" from BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S (which also features another favorite lyric: "I once took such pride in my nice ways/I looked for approval/Thrived on praise/I once got tipsy on mayonnaise...")

Take it from here, RobbieJ!
