I missed seeing the announcement that it was going to close soon. I was surprised when I walked past and saw the paper covered windows. A sad day to have another 'go to' brick and morter store close. I completely understand the reasons but still a loss.

Things I will miss:
- Wandering the aisles with no goal before/after a show.
- Discovering new treasures.
- Admiring the collectibles.
- Gasping at some of the prices.
- Noticing how items and autographs were fading over time.
- Excitedly texting friends that I found what they want!
- Seeing the pink and blue neon sign lit up at night walking down Broadway.

Oh no, I missed the announcement as well. Another old friend exits New York.

I will miss this like I miss Canal Jeans, Footlight Records and the Royal Canadian Pancake Restaurant.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I thought this was going to be about the documentation of British government in North America prior to...

Oh, never mind.

Colony was one of my standby time-wasters when wandering around the theater district. I will miss going through the sheet music and playing the "someday when I have money" game.

Waaaaaay OVERPRICED. But in the late 80s and early 90s I stocked up on many (back then) out of print titles.
