He was 86 and best known as building superintendent 'Dwayne Schneider' on "One Day At A Time"

I did not know this but he was the voice of cartoon "Inspector Clouseau" in a series of animated shorts produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises and released thru United Artists from 1965-1969. These were later incorporated into "The Pink Panther" animated series on television.
He was also "Guido Panzini" on The Jack Paar Show.

This news brings back childhood memories. It also kinda weirds me out that I'm now older than he was during most of "One Day At a Time"'s run. R.I.P.

One Day At A Time marathon is on now ( Saturday 1/9 9:00am-9:00pm on Antenna TV)
These are all too old for me to remember but interesting to watch. Casting Shelley Fabares as a mean girl was brilliant casting, (she's really very funny in the part).
The main thing I noticed to comment on was this... 47 cents for a full LP back then!!
(Isn't that about what I tunes pays artists these days?)
