you know I took some pics yesterday and my red hair is very strange b/c it looks highlighted. I mean it seriously is so streaky. Some pieces are darkish, almost brown, then the rest is almost orangey. And the longer it gets the lighter it gets. I guess the roots are darker from not having as much exposure to the sun. I totally look like I dyed my hair, yet I never have nor will I ever. Any other redheads in this situation?

Yes Shesings: I totally understand. I was going to post some pics also but the shadows look really bad. Anyway, you can't really tell but my hair (au natural) is very curly - almost Bernadette Petersish (without the talent).....

BTW - am very glad one of this year's hot colors is Emerald Green. My favorite! Always a good color for a redhead.

Jersey_Girl - maybe we're long lost twins! I get told I look like Bernadette all the time. My hair shows up dark in a lot of pics too. Actually it was really red when I was little, then turned browninsh for awhile when I was 10 or so, then in the past few years has turned really red again! I'm happy though. Have you tried Devachan salon or their Curly Girl products? They're just for curly girls (and boys) and there is nothing more amazing out there. Now they are coming out with a line of their AMAZING products especially for red heads! It's a dream come ture. You should check them out.

I actually have curly red hair too! It was just straightened for my prom...I will try to dig up a pic...damn my tendancy to straighten for picture-worthy events...

hahaha, I am very into embracing the "inner curl"! Says the girl who is typing while her flat ironed hair rests on her shoulders...I used to be hooked on this website www.naturallycurly.com...it's fantastic, check it out!

I used to use the icon from curlyhair.com as my signature - back when it was only orange squizzles. I also had a tee-shirt that said - "If I can't control my hair how do you expect me to control my life"? Too funny.

Have also professionally straightened, ironed, and flat-ironed my curls. Most often in the summer, I just have to go with them as I am out in the humidity most of the time.
