I have quite a few friends at Kent and was there last year...I forgot to go to the memorials...

I just saw that picture recently and thought, you gotta be pretty heartless to photograph someone in that much pain. I mean it's a good picture and they got a memorable picture...but still... that woman is over her dead friend...give her some respect...

but that's just my opinion.

Actually, the girl in the picture wasn't a student at Kent State, nor was she a friend of Jeff Miller's, whose body she screaming over. If I'm remembering correctly, she was a 16 year old runaway who just happened to be there.

Still her horror is real, and that is arguably the definitive visual associated with the KSU shootings.
