Hey y'all,
I have a audition for RENT coming up and I have narrowed my list of possible audition songs down to two--
Who Knew - Pink
or
You Were Meant for Me - Jewel
which do you guys think would be better suited for the style of the show?

They don't want a musical theater song?
Thats weird
If they do, you should sing something from tick, tick...boom because its by Jonathan Larson too, plus a lot of the songs sound very very similar. The song "No More" sounds just like the title song "Rent"

Actually it's not weird. Every time I've seen audition posts for Rent, they've specifically asked that you do not sing a musical theater song. They want a rock song. So back to the OP's question, I wouldn't go with either of them. Think early 90s instead, more along the lines of Alanis Morissette. Best of luck!
