Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts died today in London, joined the band in 1963. He was not only one of rock's great drummers he also played with bunch of jazz bands in his career. RIP Charlie Watts.

He always got the longest sustained cheers during the band intro section at concerts for one reason: Charlie Watts was beloved.

I was fortunate enough to see the Stones in concert in 1989. Great times. I love classic rock.
I bought “Some Girls” in his honor yesterday and spun it today. Considering that half the Beatles have been gone for awhile, it is remarkable that four Rolling Stones made it this far.
