I really don't mean this to sound disrespectful, but I had no idea he was still alive. RIP, Mr. Fisher.
My mom had so many Eddie Fisher records. He was the heart throb in her day. He definitely had a very interesting life. RIP
This is one of my all-time favorite Eddie Fisher recordings: an oddly effective swing version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "This Nearly Was Mine":

In 1954, he introduced Diahann Carroll to a national television audience on "Coke Time," his weekly variety series, singing Harold Arlen's "A Sleepin' Bee":

Apropos of this site, "Eddie Fisher at the Winter Garden" played 5 weeks in about 1962. It was his nightclub act, and he was supported by Juliet Prowse and a comic (Godfrey Cambridge?)
He also had two daughters with Connie Stevens in the 60s. I think they are both actresses who have done series tv. I don't think he and Connie ever officially married although in the 60s one had to say you were married.
Connie was playing her one Broadway show, Neil Simon's The Star Spangled Girl, when she found out she was pregnant and left the show straightaway--like just about overnight.

I'm pretty sure they were. I seem to recall Joely saying one time that their relationship was good until they got married
According to the NY Times obit, Fisher said in his autobiography that he "was reluctant to marry Connie Stevens but she was pregnant and he 'did the proper thing.'"
