The other board is reporting that iconic performer Jim Bailey has passed away. I cannot confirm it via mainstream media/traditional or on-line news outlets, and the source, Lucie Arnaz's FB page, doesn't seem verifiable. If anyone has news, including welcome info that this is not true, let us know.

I've seen several postings about it on Facebook but I can't find any corroboration.

His personal website finally confirmed it.
"Heaven is getting a fabulous show tonight with standing room only! Rest in Peace Our Sweet Prince."
RIP. Quite a talented man.

Yes, "iconic" is tossed around, but he was one. Anyone who ever saw him live knows his performances were remarkable. He was an artist.

I have probably watched this a thousand times, wondering how wonderful it would have been like to see Judy do this song live.
Today, we watch it wondering how wonderful it would have been to watch Jim do it.
Rest in piece, beautiful and gifted "gender illusionist."

Oh no!!!
I grew up listening to Jim Bailey's records. There will never be another like him. Very very sad news.

He really did seem to be immortal. I mean, he wasn't 13 on The Lucy Show! He seems to have been around forever and as if he'd always be around.

Sorry to hear this. I was fortunate enough over the years to see him perform several times.
