Oh, she was so sweet!
Wasn't she in The Opposite Sex, the musical version of The Women. That was such a fun movie.

Posted: 7/21/06 at 11:29pmRe The Judy Garland Show on which she appeared. Am I right in suggesting she was maybe, um... a little "tired and emotional" on that show. For some strange reason they do a MGM medley of songs with Steve Lawrence and he does a song (can't remember what) that is associated with her and is frantically reading the lyrics off camera, I can't help but wonder that by that time she was too drunk to carry on. God bless her.

Posted: 7/24/06 at 3:39pmWatched MGM 'Little Women' on telly today. June was too old for Jo but she lit up the screen. Nobody says 'Chrisopher Columbus' quite like she did. Her scene in the attic with Laurie when he returns with Amy is so lovely. I'm so glad I was able to see this today. Very fitting June tribute.
