A truly iconic actor in the age of television. I hope he's up there, singing with Mary.
So so sad, grew up on Dallas and I'm also really enjoying the new Dallas. What a legend, RIP
I remember him best from I Dream of Jeannie. Me and my sisters watched that in reruns all the time as children. We even sneaked downstairs one night when a friend was sleeping over to watch it on Nick at Nite.

I am taking a break from studying after hearing this sad news and I wanted to give my thoughts about this.

My siblings and I also watched the show many times when we were younger. He was a very talented actor. My folks also really enjoyed him on 'Dallas'.
R.I.P. Mr. Hagman.

This is sad. Had he been sick for long?
RIP Mr Hagman! Thanks for the entertainment!
He was sick before the Dallas reboot--but seemed to be doing better.
Well at least he was able to see a ressurection of his career and was able to work before leaving us. Dying peacefully admist loved ones? Who could ask for anything more?

“Life is terminal, death is not,” Mr. Hagman said in a 1980 interview. “I think death is just another stage of our development. I honestly believe that we don’t just disappear. We don’t go into a void. I think we’re part of a big energy curtain, an energy wave, in which we are like molecules.”
The stuff of ozone.
Wow, I had totally forgotten about I Dream Of Jeannie.
One of the great TV villians of all time performed by a fine, focused, unfussy actor with a wonderfully sublimated sense of humor.
Awwww.
One of my favorite childhood shows was I DREAM OF JEANNIE.
Adored it, and loved him in the show.

Look close, some of the sets (not to mention story lines) were the exact same as Bewitched. Example: the Bellows foyer was eaxactly the same as the Stevens, just a picture was changed.

Despite playing one of the most malevolent characters in television history, he had a personal reputation as being one of the nicest, friendliest and most generous people in show business.
Condolences to his wife of 58 years, Maj.

It's a shame he's not here and you are. A damn shame.
