re: rome

Yeah...the pilot had a lot of plots going at once...its not so bad for the next episode...and there is male nudity. :)

re: rome

How many people believe that woman gave themselves Brazilian waxes in Roman times? Please, some women still don't even shave under their arms in Rome because they believe only prostitutes do that.

Well they certainly didn't have the major advancements in razors that we take for granted every day.

However I wonder if HBO should have specified in the contract... "Must grow a nappy-ass tangly bush" or perhaps a merkin would have been in order?

re: rome I just LOVE the opportunity to use the work "merkin" in an appropriate context.

Anyone else loving this show? While the first two eps have been strong, I just have this overwhelming impression that by week five or six it's going to be incredible. The build-up is very solid. Can't wait to see what happens when Lucius finds out what Niobe did while he was gone...and I think the Senators might be plotting something against Julius Caesar, but I'm not sure....

Glebb - good episode last night. It's violence and sex at it's height - what could be better? Well, maybe if they all broke into song...

re: rome

ANY wang yet? Or guy on guy action? It's called ROME and there is no guy on guy? OUTRAGEOUS!!

re: rome

Have to confess to not exactly looking for the male nudity/sex scenes, but there was an old naked guy for half a second tonight.

I want to see more of Polly Walker personally -- damn, she's a beautiful woman.

re: rome

No guy on guy last night but plenty of hot hunk guy on woman.
I'm not complaining.

re: rome

This show rocks.

Two questions since I missed a few moments of it (this is soon going to be one of those "don't call me when it's on" shows) -- Attia DID have Glabius killed, right, even though she told her daughter she didn't...

The woman who was tied to the wagon with the money - was she just some random woman, or did she have some special meaning?
Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.

re: rome

Ok, I've got to break from BWW tonight in order to actually pay attention to ROME.

Was Attia actually beating the messenger at the start of this episode? And yes, I believe she did have Glabius killed.

re: rome

HBO has the best shows on TV. Rome is very well done. Very Authentice. I like Titus, whooooooooooie, sexy, hunky and so manly.

re: rome

I think Episode II is about to begin and maybe Episode III later tonight.

The who will kill who scene is what really won me over.
Brilliant entertainment.
