Random Cyndi Lauper Question

For the true Cyndi fans:

I was listening to the She's So Unusual CD recently--the song "When You Were Mine"--and there is this one note after the chorus that sounds like Cyndi's voice that is VERY high--and I can't tell if it is Cyndi or some instruments. Does anyone know which it is?

If I'm not truly mistaken (and it's quite entirely possible that i am)...i believe that is the incomparable Ms. Lauper.

God, I love her voice. The note she hits at the end of I'm Gonna Be Strong is just manic and beautiful.

That's ridiculous that that is really her! Isn't that a pretty high note??

I need to check out this I'm Gonna Be Strong song you talk about! Which CD was it on? I have 5 of her CDs on my iPod.

She of course completely blew her voice out and had to learn how to sing all over again. But congrats, Parks, so many of the singers you gush about don't actually sing.

She did? I didn't know that.

Cyndi was on The View to promote the True Colors tour earlier this year. She sang the most gorgeous version of the song I had ever heard.

Yeah, Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls wrote on her blog about Cyndi advising her to get proper singing lessons to prevent what happened to her.

yeah, she destroyed her voice when she was in the band BLUE ANGEL & then had to learn to sing all over again.

Everyone loved the Britney CDs I gave them! All 5 of them!

Well... except for the 2 of them... but they don't count because they have taste or something...
