Reading Buffy season 9?

Specifically, issue 6... Is anyone reading this comic? I could not believe the end of the story. PLUS, go to the last page and I got a letter in the Slay the Critic section! Go me!

I love all things Buffy, and season 9 is shaping up beautifully.

I've never read any of the graphic novels. I keep telling myself I need to start- but never get around to it. I'll have to re-watch the last season on DVD before I begin reading the graphic novels though. I honestly didn't know they were still writing for Buffy. I thought they only did 2 seasons of graphic novels... shows how much I know.

I thought the first few issues of season 9 were AWFUL and I've since fallen behind. I am enjoying the 'Angel and Faith' series quite a bit, though.

I love comics, though I read much more manga, so I was excited about the format. But Season 8 in comic form, which started with SOOO much promise just completely fell apart by the end for me. Much of it was stuff I couldn't believe Joss would approve or think was a good idea. One problem was it simply went on too long I think. And you have iffy plot points like Buffy's lesbiuan relationship (which in theory I'm not opposed to but the way they explained it was lame and fan-fictiony). I've said I'll give Season 9 a chance but I admit so far I eventu8ally don't have much reason to...

Drew they currently are in the second season of the novels--the first was really drawn out. It's worth giving a few volumes a chance--there IS good stuff there, but... ANd I don't think you really need a refresher of Season 7--the main plot points are covered enough.
