It's definitely doable if luck is on your side. I'd listen to Kad and the R to 8th is probably the best. I had a similar issue when I was working at the Public. I was in rehearsal for a show at the Public and had won the lottery to Fun Hom at Circle in the Square and had 15 minutes to get from one to the other and made it with a minute I spare. However, I wouldn't have tried if I knew that days performance started at 7 and I would need to book it to make the show!

Two of the best understudies I ever saw were both in Twyla Tharp productions. Makes sense.... understudies and swings in a Tharp show have to be ridiculous to handle multiple tracks. This isn't really an "actor freaking out" example, but the first thing that came to my mind (besides the Toni Collette incident already mentioned) was when Christian Slater played Tom in The Glass Menagerie opposite Jessica Lange and during the bra stuffing scene he ran on stage saying something like "I gotta get in on this" and started making inappropriate gestures towards Laura. But I'm sure the actors had a major freak out towards him backstage.

I would get in line very early to secure tickets! 6 am sounds like a good time. The line will be very long and the show will sell out. With a cast of over 200 and a huge production team with everyone getting 6-8 comps involved in the show; plus all the industry people that will be wanting to see the show— it will sell out and tickets will be hard I obtain. As has been said by everyone, I'm sure in most cases it's a non issue as they make great tattoo cover ups. Especially in a big Broadway house. But let's say you had a sleeve and were going in for the role of Stanley-- let's face it, you're not getting the part. I'm pretty sure Disney parks casting wouldn't hire you for one of their shows if you had visible tattoos. But they have so many strict rules regarding casting. Between the ones you've mentioned, I would go with LaDuca. My students love them. The Capezio Adult Chorus Is a great shoe as well. They're probably around the same price as LaDuca. I couldn't tell you more as I'm a guy so I'm going off what my female students say and what look and sound the best. But if you wanted advice on a traditional tap shoe- the K360 is the best on the market.... I'm still bitter they no longer make Alexander Concerto's.
