Rekers' Rent Boy Speaks!!

Rather sad article, covering a phone call between Rekers and Rent Boy. Curious revelation from Rekers at the end:

Sister George--I certainly hope you were using the words "tells all" ironically.

Rekers' Rent Boy Speaks!!

Looked at the pictures and coudn't help noticing that he seems to be wearing the same pair of underwear in every picture that shows them. I just hope he has several pair of the same color.

Rick Sanchez is covering the story in the next hour on CNN. He just showed the picture of Rekers with the luggage and the boy standing there and watching.

Rekers' Rent Boy Speaks!!

I'm sort of wondering about the change in tone at the end of the article Roscoe linked, which seemed to sympathize with Lucien. Why is Lucien's situation suddenly so sad and he is being horribly victimized? At the age of 20, he had no idea that prostitution is illegal and the profession associated with countless risks? This is the only time he thought about the consequences of being outed, not only as a prostitute, but as a homosexual?!?! He advertised on a rent boy website with photos of his face. Yes, this is a crappy mess to be in, but Rekers didn't get Lucien in this mess. Lucien chose a profession that is rarely anything but messy and he got caught. It could have just as easily been an episode of Dateline or any other closeted conservative anti-gay politician/minister/priest, of which there seems to be an endless supply.

Merely cutting and pasting from the original article's headline...

Goodness, it looks like Mr. Rekers has had his sack toted on other occasions!

Rekers' Rent Boy Speaks!!

This is one situation in which I definitely take the side of the rent boy. This young man was just doing his job. He didn’t ask to get his picture taken or to be publicly outted.

But he advertised with photos on the internet as a prostitute and traveled openly with his clients. Got it.

Rekers' Rent Boy Speaks!!

He advertised to people looking for a rent boy. Which was a risk, yes, but not the same as putting "Profession: Rent Boy" in his Facebook profile or something.

When you put information online, you're risking it getting out to everyone. But taking a risk is not the same thing as deserving every consequence that comes if things go bad.

Why is this boy a "sex worker" and Tiger's girls are "mistresses"?

Where is Gloria Allred? Clearly this young man needs some guidance and protection.
