I think it counts just fine. =)

Still a couple of hours before I light my candle...

I just lit my candle and sat it on my balcony re: Remember the candlelight vigils for 9/11?

Thanks boobs. I appreciate you thinking of me to do that. Even though I was not near the attacks at the time, I was born there, have family there, and have a strong connection to NY. I was so deeply affected by the attacks. It's crazy it's been five years.

DollyPop, it was still a beautiful gesture to recite Kaddish. Did you do it in English or transliterated Hebrew?

Since I also lit a candle for ashley and jlc, I thought I'd post it.

Sorry it's a really bad picture.

the candles are near the sliding glass door so people outside can see.

I recited the Kaddish in English. (If it was in Latin I wouold have given it a shot in that language, but my Hebrew skills are nill).

Before I went to bed last night I dug out the illuminated American Flag that I put in my front window for July 4th. It's been lit all day and now the memorial candle is burning beneath it. It looks oddly peaceful.
