This article is worth reading for the Astaire story.
Houghton About Aunt Kate
I think I believe William Mann over than Katharine Houghton.
Tracy's and Hepburn's sexuality is nobody's business, and this Mann person only wants to sell books.
However, the Astaire story is hilarious.
Why is it nobody's business? Is it something shameful?
And Bill Mann is an excellent writer.

Are we talking gay sexuality? Then it is shameful and nobody's business - at least on BWW.
Stop being so defensive, you two. My God!
Too many people on this board immediately scream HOMOPHOBIA even if someone makes an innocent comment.
Why should two DEAD people's sexuality be anybody's business?

Mann's writing is repetitive and boring, not to mention quite assumptive and speculative.

The very nature of biography suggests there will be personal details, otherwise it would just be a list of movies they made.
I really liked Mann's biography, and didn't find his writing either repetetive or boring.
Some call his assumptions and speculation "insight."
I've been trying to forget the overly mannered, affected and grossly overrated Kate Hepburn.
