My thoughts and prayers still go out to her. Hoping she's still alive.

I hope Oakwood or whatever his name was is okay, too!

Oakley. I'll never forget where I was that day when we got news that their car had flipped over. causing Izzy to go into premature labor. I've always assumed she hit her head and got amnesia. I think I am secretly hoping she has a new screen name and posts here, not knowing how much we loved her.

Having her water break at the Harry Potter book party was a great touch.

Hush now. She could be any one of us and not remember the trauma she survived.

Pure tragedy. But thanks to brdwlwyr's expert ministrations, our community was able to heal and move on after incalculable loss.

The deer story was real but our collective patience ran thin quickly.

Izzy's baby was something else entirely.

The pregnancy and baby was hilar!

Jordan, basically, around April 2007 Izzy started a thread announcing her pregnancy news. Of course, everyone congratulated her. She kept the thread alive for a while by asking people suggestions for baby names. Then around June, she and her husband were supposedly involved in a horrible-sounding car crash. Their car flipped over, but they survived with minor injuries. Of course, people were concerned for her pregnancy. Then just a month later at a Barnes & Noble at midnight, while she waited in line for the release of the final Harry Potter book, her water broke and she had her baby soon after. She started a whole thread about it and people congratulating her. A couple of us (namely ErikaAmato and I) made a passing comment about the quick pregnancy but offered our congratulations nonetheless. But it was brdlwyr who really exposed her. He dug up the old threads and noticed a lot of inconsistencies and odd behavior like leaving her newborn in the hospital while she returned home to take a shower. Why not just use the bathroom there? Thus, the tide began to turn.

If anyone can find that thread, resurrect it 'cause it was a hoot and it went on for many pages. Needless to say, Izzy was never heard from again. She continued to post for a bit (even after brdlwyr questioned her) giving updates on the baby. The last thing she wrote she said she would "post pix soon."

Thanks Bluemoon!

AND...could this be OUR IzzyBeth? Came up in the Google search for the thread. Her picture is very different from the young couple in bed she posted as her avatar. Plus, she managed to go from high school student to married early twentysomething to a woman in her thirties in four short years. She is so amazing!

"Their car flipped over, but they survived with minor injuries."

Wait, wasnt there a post the day after blaming an "animal with antlers that looked like Bambi" for the car accident that almost killed the Mr.?
That's when I remember the tide turning...

No, Doodle -you're confusing 2 bizzare threads. The thread you're think of was about JasonF (I believe) and his dangerous encounter with a deer. The thread was started by his gf.

No, doodle, the AngryDeer incident happened to jasonf and caitiesus later in the year. Actually, caitiesus started a thread about how her boyfriend had just had a collision with a deer (she wasn't with him). I asked how was the deer and that apparently set her off, chiding us for not showing any sympathy for jason and even called the deer "stupid" and that it was just an animal. Later, jason came to her defense and it was them two against the (Broadway)World. Good times.

Thanks, Bluemoon!

No dead giveaways but lots of blogs about community theater experiences in the older blogs, a lot of medical conditions, a love of creative writing (as therapy). Just a feeling, I guess.

Did anyone ever "come out" as being the person behind the Izzy's Baby screen name?
