Arkansas state representative Nate Bell decided this morning was the perfect opportunity to post this tweet:
"I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine? #2A"
He has since apologized for his poor timing. Not the content. The timing.
A class act!

I wonder why conservatives (like religious folk with the "atheist in foxhole" canard) are so quick to believe that people will be so quick to change firmly held beliefs in trying times.
Ugh. That man is a living loogie.

Remarkable hair style.
Yeah, that's what was missing from this horrific series of events: folks blasting away with their assault weapons while the police are trying to do their jobs.
I was thinking it would be a lovely scene with people shooting & they just happened to shoot an explosive. What a moron.
Yeah a city in lockdown for one suspect needs to spread its crowd-sourcing detective work into crowd-sourcing vigilante work.
Look at Watertown, MA. Over a thousand police officers,SWAT,Homeland Security, The National Guard, and God knows who else. This must be the safest place on the planet right now.If someone actually feels they STILL NEED A GUN in order to feel safe then I just don't know. Then again, I'm not a pu$$y who gets scared of my own shadow and needs a gun.

I share your bafflement, Phyl - and I am very pro gun ownership. What makes anyone think that anyone's well thought out, deeply held belief could be so easily shaken? What an insensitive idiotic self-entitled ass this guy is.

The sad truth is many if not most people who own guns don't have any business owning them. They got them for the wrong reasons, and haven't spent the time with them to learn how to respect and properly use them. As jumpy and hysterical as many people are right now, I'm very sure that there would have been a few more deaths right now if even more people had guns. Also, NO civilian needs an assault weapon.

You don't have to be a pu$$y afraid of your own shadow to want a gun for protection. Please don't over-generalize or insult those who choose to own weapons for protection. They are many reasons why it might be called for.
Poorly worded on my part.(sorry) I meant to direct that to the guy who said the quote. If I lived out in the country where my neighbors were miles away,I may want one myself.
