This year, the Republican platform goes well beyond overturning Roe v Wade. Their intent is to extend 14th Amendment protections to the unborn. This raises abortion to murder, and anyone paying for an abortion would be committing murder-for-hire, a capital crime. McCain and Palin should be pressed on the implications. Here is the language:
"We support a human life amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children,"

It's seems as though the Republican States talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

"Sarah Palin is against sex education in schools, and favors abstinence-only information."
So imagine how she would look if her 16 year old daughter got pregnant. People like Sarah are in ONLY for themselves and no one else.

Palin On Abortion: "I'd Oppose Even If My Own Daughter Was Raped"
What a nice mother.

I could be wrong, but didn't a house fall on Sarah's sister?

Nothing makes the human race all dark agey than this insistence on politicizing issues that aren't political.
Sarah Palin is a pawn. I'm sick of this whole moneyed cluelessness posing as a democratic government.

V72, in many states such as Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas access to abortion is almost non-existent. There are few doctors and few clinics that provide any services. Young women have to drive hundreds of miles and are subjected to protesters. In Kansas the state has sought personal and private information re: women who have had abortions.
The religious right has destroyed a women's right of choice on the ground in various states.

And opening up ANWR for drilling will be their 2nd, not that I'm opposed to it.
I just want ANWR opened to lessen our dependence on foreign fossil fuel while we supplant the current power infrastructure with renewal energy technology. Palin will demonstrate to McCain how she can fund his 100-year war on terror with oil from ANWR and that is what troubles me about the team.
