I loved that woman.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This seriously hurts!
Who will worry about the Beaver now?
Snafu, I could make a lot of jokes right now about that but I'm too upset.
*raises hand so Jordan can mourn in peace.*
Honestly, rest in peace, lovely lady.
That wasn't a joke at all. A homage. I seriously adore this woman, always have. She was one of the two Mom's I adored on TV as a child the other being June Lockhart. I have to say that she had a profound effect on my childhood.

Go back and watch some of those classic episodes now. She and Hugh have this incredible, unspoken, and almost subversive communication with each other. Most of the time it had to do with the parents not trying to laugh at the kids, but sometimes it had a definite sexual undertone that was not seen on TV before, even with the actual MARRIED couples like Ricky and Lucy or George and Gracie.
I loved BB and never tired of seeing her pop up now and again.
Rest in peace, June.

I totally agree Sueleen. Unlike all the other TV moms, she was practically a second wave feminist prototype, especially in the first season. She would needle Ward and then stand back and let him hoist himself by his own fatherly petard.
Plus she always showed great composure when Ward was too hard on the Beaver.
