The reviews are even consistent as far as they all mentioned they liked the pork shank.

The question is it fair to review this place? I say why not. It is not everyday a 500 seat restaurant opens up. He has been all over the media promoting the place. From the sound of it millions went into opening the place.

I think it's perfectly alright to review this place. After all, this guy "Guy" is all over the tv (I find him gross) and I guess he's considered someone big (haha, another pun) in the food world, why not review his gargantuan restaurant?

Why is the major network morning shows invested in giving Guy's perspective in this story? GMA had ione reporter test their menu, giving faint praise, and the Today Show had Savannah Guthrie interview him at his restaurant.

I also am wondering what is the agenda. The agenda behind only mentioning the 'liberal, elitist' Times over the local alt weeklies and the slightly more populist Observer and tabloid Post agreeing the restaurant food is crappy. I know ABC/Disney is tied to the Food Network, but why is NBC piggy-backing that story?

Fiery had a breech soul patch in his interview this morning. I wanted to throw breech in my eyes seeing that.

It's all about the press. Guy Fieri is news, he has fans, people are interested in this story. His bad review will absolutely generate far more sales than a "Eh, it's TGI Fridays with a bad dye job" dismissal ever would. He will milk it as long as he can. People on vacation from Iowa will come to eat at "That horrible Guy Fieri restaurant we heard about" and leave wiping their greasy mouths saying "See that weren't too bad."

The agenda is to put the guy people are talking about on TV- whether he sent a shirtless picture to some woman, makes horrible french fries or killed someone.
