I only print the truth. They make terrible burgers.
TERRIBLE.
But, they have the best soup in Times Square.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 9:41pmCorine, I don't mean this to be rude (really) (NO, REALLY) but if there are so many restaurants that you love why do you only have two or three mentioned at the corner? I mean it seems like this is what you should be focusing on, not silly interviews.

Oh Corine, don't even. Just please. I fear you'll be attacked from ALL sides by making THAT comment

Time. The Corner is for interviews. I am one person and I have other things to do.
PS I have four interviews in Chef Corner.
I change it when I have time. I am very busy with other things.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 9:46pmMaybe that is the problem with the corner, then. Perhaps you should only focus on ONE thing. I mean why have a Beauty page when all you have there is an interview with the guy that cuts your hair. Scale it down and focus. I am serious. You might be able to change people's minds that it is a big joke.

Sue,
I don't really care what you think.
The Corner is for me. If you don't like it, don't come.
It is a hobby.
I DON'T CARE.

I just PMd to Corine that I thought she should re-read what you wrote Sueleen because it's actually very honest and good advice. And while Corine maintains that the site is just for her, a hobby and something she doesn't care what other people think - she certainly solicits people to visit and read everything on the site enough to make her latest comment questionable.
Corine. Seriously - if you PUBLISH on the internet and invite people to your site - you open yourself to commentary and criticism. The site might be YOUR passion, but to say it's just for you is a bit silly. If you want a site for JUST you, keep a written journal on paper that no one else can read.

Namo - she found all those letters to The Velvet Fog too, didn't she?
And Namo, wouldn't you agree with Sueleen that it's better to master one skill then to mediocre with several?

"I don't really care what you think.

I DON'T CARE."
Doesn't this statement really embody the sum and substance of Corine's attitude? "The Corner is for me" "I DON'T CARE".
Has this girl ever done a single thing in her life for the betterment of others? Has she ever heeded the advice of others?
To me, she is the personification of a self-centered and egotistical creature who is concerned only about herself.
Imagine how pathetic the world would be if everyone assumed the same attitude.
Corine, you make me sick.

Yes, she did find those letters. But I was EXAGGERATING about what had happened.
As for the other topic, I remember when Eric Idle was a guest voice on The Simpsons, Lisa was trying to impress him with all of her various activities and interests and he looked at her sternly and said, "Lisa, you're a dilettante." He enouraged her to master one thing, rather than spreading herself so thin that she didn't really get particularly good at anything.
There's a lesson for Corine in there somewhere. And I shall write it in my diary tonight.

Give the girl a break!
She seems to be living a fine life. Why are people flaming her?
My parents once told me: "If I can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
Perhaps if you feel the need to, you can give CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms through PM as not to call uneeded attention to her.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 10:17pmDo you mean restaurants or burger joints. There are many restaurants in the Times Square area but you have to pay money. I would suggest you go on this site's restaurant guide. There are many good suggestions. I refer to it sometimes so as I don't always like to eat at the same places.

Phantom 2 you are so sweet. I don't care what a few nasty bitchy posters from the swamp pit think.
Thank you, Q honey.
If you hate the Corner, don't read my interviews.
I don't care. But, I do get a lot of nice letters and I thank the many readers who take the time to write to me.

Their food is ok. The people that work there are characters to say the least...
This site DOES have a great guide. And since we're on the subject of burgers - might I suggest Virgil's BBQ. Not only for burgers - but for everything. It's a place where diets go to die.
