Resurrection

Anyone else see this tonight? Can't say I like it yet but I'm really curious to see where it goes. Seems like a show that will get canceled though.

Resurrection

From what I can see, the French series "The Returned" on Sundance is far superior.

The creepy, "I'm coming home" song played during the promos was enough to make me not want to watch this show.

Resurrection

I'm not 100% sure they can stretch this out for a full series. But, I felt the same way about Lost so what do I know?

"I felt the same way about Lost"

And see how well that worked out?

Resurrection

This show is similar to, but not officially based on "The Returned." The only actual "based on" credit it has is to the novel "The Returned," but you shouldn't expect this to be a remake of the French series.

For all the promotion and interesting premise it was largely just dull. Things picked up in the second half, but the ending didn't have a big enough hook or reveal to keep you wondering what would happen next.

Omar Epps had to play both Mulder and Scully, and he's capable of doing that, but the writings didn't make the mystery intriguing or thrilling enough. For the fact that dead people are popping up alive I don't think the town acted with all that much surprise.

Things shouldn't move this slowly in a network pilot, IMO. It has the potential to get on track, but by the time it does will there be any viewers left?
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
