re: Romper Room

Oh Yes - thats me - ADORABLE...LOL...I'm sure my parents had a helluva time with me - but I think I turned out fairly well, if I do say so myself (hell - SOMEONE's got to do it!LOL)
Now If I could only be this funny in my up-coming cabaret act...I seem to freeze up when it comes time to speak in public now!...I'd rather just sing for an hour - but everyone keeps telling me I have to TALK - YIKES!
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" re: Romper Room

That Bee scared me, as did Morgan Freeman's Dracula on Electric Company, I would run out of the room.

I liked Zoom and Vila Legre! And Wonderama, I wanted a Ross Apollo 3 speed bike and Bagelette necklace.

Anyone else grow up in the city or the tri-state area?

or as we who were the models for the Simpson children used to say:

Reading is funded by mentals
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

re: Romper Room

This is sooo stupid, but when I watched the show I was too young to know that Canada & the US were seperate & different countries so every day "I pledge(ed) allegiance to the flag of the United States of America" ... Of course I stumbled adorably over "indivisable"... Sigh They never said MY name either!!! and I was betraying my country! (lol)

re: Romper Room

I do remember Romper Room. The two that I remember were Miss Frances and Miss Jones. They always looked into the magic mirrors and said kids names. I waited patiently to hear my name read. I remember Being a good Do Bee. { I am always good} There did come a time when they had to let Miss Jones go because she was pregnant and couldnt show that on TV. Back then teachers or anyone on TV just didnt have sex. I also used to watch Miss Frances' Ding Dong School and I am proud to announce that I am a graduate. She was ugly. Anyone from the NY area remember Fun at One on PBS? The two women on that show were Miss Mary Ellen and Miss Effie. I did watch Wonderama but I am old enough to have seen it with Sonny Fox.

Yes. I had Highlights. I loved that too. I was a voracious reader. Math, science, history, etc., however, I could have done without.
